How To: Eliminate Frizzy Hair!

I have very thick hair, so I really do suffer from frizzy hair sometimes. I have experimented with many different strategies, so I’m here to tell you some of the best tips that I have found out!

And even if you don’t have frizzy hair, these tips can still be helpful! There is no such thing as hair that is too sleek and neat, so please try some of these!

Let’s start with right after washing your hair:

1. Use a wide-toothed comb.

When your hair is wet, it can get stretched out and break if it isn’t handled gently. Using a wide-toothed comb goes easy on your hair. Even though it may leave a few knots in your hair, you can always brush it again later. You can find a wide-toothed comb almost anywhere. I got mine from the 99 cents store. Hehe, I’m so cheap.

2. Dry your hair with a fan.

Instead of using the regular hair dryer, try using a fan instead! If you don’t have a fan, just use the cool setting of your hair dryer. Hot air can burn up your hair, so using cool air can help maintain your hair’s strength, shine, and health.

3. Only dry your hair until it is about 90% dry.

While your hair is still a little wet, you can style it heatlessly. Since I want my hair to be flatter, I push all my hair to one side and just hold it down. It makes my hair dry flatter and neater, eliminating any frizz.

4. Apply argan oil at the ends.

Hair tends to get damaged and split at the ends resulting in messier looking hair. Even if you are worried about oily hair, don’t worry you can still use this step! Only apply argan oil at the ends after your hair is completely dried. It will help undo some of the damage and leave your hair shiny and strong. I use Purador Argan Oil and it is pretty decent.

5. Use an anti-frizz product. (Optional)

This step is completely optional, but if you want, you can even use a specific product to eliminate frizz. I use TRESemmé Anti-frizz Smoothing Cream. It works pretty well. I just rub a little into my palms and evenly apply all over my hair, starting from the ends and working torwards the roots. You also don’t want to overdo the products used in your hair. Remember less is more! I would stick at using a max of 2 products.

I hope this helped! Thanks!
