Review: TONY MOLY Floria Brightening Peeling Gel

I was in the TONY MOLY store in K-town in NYC and tested this out. I was quite impressed with its performance, so I decided to purchase it! Let’s see how it does!

You may have seen that I mentioned this in my September Monthly Favorites post, but I decided to make a full detailed review of it.

I’m sure all of you know how important exfoliating is. It is an essential step in your skincare routine since it clears impurities and dead skin. Peeling gels are a chemical exfoliator and are usually rubbed onto a dry face.

This product cost me $15 for 150 ml. It came in a simple all white tube.

Description:

A gentle brightening peeling gel

Helps remove dead skin cells & impurities

Contains fourteen kinds of flower extracts & sea grass to deliver a boost of energy

Blended with pearl extract to maintain skin’s moisture level & prevent dryness

Infused with fermented extract of lotus extract to strengthen skin cells

Improves skin tone & fights against pigmentation

Unveils a softer smoother clearer brighter & healthier looking complexion

Free of parabens benzophenon triethanolamine tar color & mineral oil

Wow, that is a long list of claims to live up to!

Directions:

After taking the proper amount, massage all over face, then rinse off with lukewarm water.

The peeling gel itself is clear and has a a thick, gel-like consistency. It has a sort of perfumy floral scent, but it’s not too strong.

The most important thing about peeling gels is to use them only on a dry face! I have made the mistake of using it right after washing my face many times. It just mixes in with the water and has absolutely no effect, so you have been warned! Don’t be dumb like me!

After about a minute of rubbing it in, I start to see the dead skin coming off in these disgusting white clumps. It is disgusting, but seriously so satisfying! Something about being able to actually see the effects, makes me so excited!

I was really impressed with how well it worked! Up until now, the Cure Aqua Peeling Gel was the only product I used that was able to remove this much dead skin. And this is so much more affordable!

After rinsing, my skin felt so smooth and soft. Although I don’t see much of a brightening effect at all, my skin did feel free of impurities and dirt. Peeling gels also tend to be harsh and astringent sometimes, but this one was very gentle and left absolutely no irritation for me. I really want to recommend this product to everyone! It is an affordable product that works great and really is suitable to all skin types!

Pros:

Affordable

Effectively removes a lot of dead skin

Not irritating

Leaves skin feeling insanely soft and smooth

Cons:

Claims to brighten,  but doesn’t

I almost gave this a 5/5, but I am a strict rater lol, but this might have deserved it. I actually almost never give ratings this high!

Have any of you guys tried this product out? What are your thoughts on peeling gels and which are some of your favorites?
